As am I. You shouldn’t have to. Which platform/browser/ext are you using? I’ve tested on Mac/Firefox/nos2x and nos2x-fox. Also iOS/Safari/Nostore
Mind if I ask which browser nos2x wasn’t working on? Bc that’s what I use and it does fine. Even on Firefox for me.

That’s the second report of Brave not working. Thank you. I definitely need to make sure it works there. Sorry fren. Please let me know if you find something that works for you. On Android apparently the Kiwi browser supports Nos2x. And on iOS there is Safari with Nostore.
Dang. I’m seeing that chrome and chrome derivative browsers like Brave or Kiwi aren’t showing the Sign with Extension button. I use Firefox and it was all I could do to learn Nostr and build an app to a usable state before Nostrica. Long story short. I’ll be resolving this. In the meantime, Firefox with Nos2x is known to work. Really sorry for the inconvenience.

Pardon my newbie question, but how is giving your nsec to a browser extension any safer than to anything else? I tried Nostore a couple weeks ago and totally got wigged out by it. The install felt sketchy which led to me abandoning the install and deleting the app really quickly. It just felt shady.
I don’t want to answer too hastily, so when I get a moment, I’ll look into it. It’s a perfectly valid question though. We really need to make sure what we’re recommending is actually good practice. For nostr to grow, we need key management/signing that is safe and easy. That’s for sure. Something like #[7] ‘s NostrPass could be the ticket. It’s an oAuth like solution.

Also, as I say on the site, and repeatedly on Nostr. Please use an extension when signing in to this and any other site. Extensions work on iOS Safari with Nostore and on desktop Firefox with nos2x. I’ve set tomorrow aside to figure out what’s going on with Chrome. I’m doing my best to learn how to build fun things on Nostr. The last thing I’m going to do is nuke all my hard work and my reputation for some social keys. 😂 Btw, thank you for your work on Nostrica. It was an amazing time. 😊 #[5]
Solved the Chrome extension issue. Figured out that the check for window.nostr needs to be put in a window.onload handler in order to get picked up by Chrome. So here’s the latest list just in case you missed it… #[4]
