Incorrect. Writing is very much work when done in many situations. Writing is another form of thinking and the work comes in when the words are translated from one's thoughts to written words on the page. It can help one work out an idea that they may be struggling with. It can be creative in the form of stories or poetry. Books are literally "proof of work." It can help one work out issues in their lives or simply document events for future reference. Besides construction, writing is literally one of the earliest forms of "proof of work."
