Bitcoin ownership is a bit like gun ownership. It’s pretty simple and straightforward, but if you don’t know what you are doing and have unsafe practices you can absolutely destroy yourself. Also you NEED to know how both of them work to protect yourself. You cannot rely on others to hold your keys to save you, just like you cannot rely on others to hold a firearm to save you. nostr:note1fekdfprgh79qd5nqfzdm6vcew6swd4xxx6n4qju9pvd62nfhezasrtn9ez

This highlights my point all the more. If you are securing your own seeds and you are leaving them on paper, and not putting them on high temperature steel, or using multisig with multiple backups, it’s just as bad as storing your guns insecurely.
