a lot more popular and less derpressing tho more than a few times semi has made me want to claw my eyes out
to be clear, i have sympathy with the cynicism but it's another level what he does when you engage deeper. i got some level of trust at some point and i was constantly regaled with these technical details of his own stuff. ok, good, i'm glad he's developing useful things but i could do without the dark, apocalyptic cynicism

he used to really get mad at me for calling him out a long time ago but he's smoothed out a lot. idk what his calling is exactly but it seems like he's homing in on it. to contrast, semisol is mostly right about his cynical view of the nostr ecosystem. it's just appallingly depressingly terminally judgemental.
How do you know that he isn't developing those useful things _because_ of his tinge of darkness? Spite coding is the new rage coding.
He just rejected a superior technical system -- out of hand and without further inquiry and investigation -- because he thinks the developer isn't pleasant enough. This is why we don't have nice things.
yeah, i don't want to work with him, is all. i can't stand the pesimism, i have enough questions about myself to have to deal with his questions about everyone, and you know already i'm already suspicious of a lot of people. but... quite a number have shown me another side that i can sympathise with. some people just can't get along and with semisol i just get to a certain point and then i'm like "no, you are too unpleasant" so - hey, best to not try to cooperate. an intermediary maybe can bridge this but in his case i feel like he misses the decentralization point in a big way, and that is foundational to his darkness.
I'm fine with that. I admire you both and I've decided to be 🇨🇭.
