Am I the only Nostr dev tired of other devs making every damn piece of data a fucking event and making every damn little function a fucking NIP? Because I am fucking tired of it.
Also, let's not talk about how people can't see my newest profile pic, how my relay list is different on different clients, how deleted events continue to be served up for hours... days.... forever, how follows are a never-ending catastrophe, how a funny new handle can haunt you for years, and why people keep zapping a wallet I stopped using 6 months ago. Public relays are actually a terrible place to put information that regularly changes, or that should remain private. No, encryption doesn't solve that, IT MAKES IT WORSE, because it encourages you to store everything on the open Internet and blast it all over the place, which is FUCKING STUPID AND WILL QUICKLY DRIVE YOU UP THE FUCKING WALL AND OPENS YOU RIGHT UP TO A MASSIVE DATA LEAK. Stop developing stuff you don't use.
