Fundamentally, Bitcoins are made of 0s and 1s because its computer stuff. Think of cutting a bagel or cheerio in half. When you cut a zero in half you get two arcs that can each then be flattened into a new 1 shape. The Bitcoin halving performs this automatically to keep the network running on 1s. Depending on how many zeros were corrected in this process causes the price to go up.
