so, as i would have expected, sooner or later i saw this out the window of my kitchen https://images.mleku.dev/9R/IMG_20250121_095239_782.jpg decided to get a shot of him noticing me noticing him for you all https://images.mleku.dev/9R/IMG_20250121_095246_086.jpg so, i decided i was going to warm up the food this time, so the little aluminium foil wrapped tins are sitting in a pot of hot tap water for a bit before i open them up and dish them out he's sitting in the expected feeding place with the heater trained on him so he gets started with warming up and drying out while he waits, he's behaving himself very nicely https://images.mleku.dev/9R/IMG_20250121_095919_243.jpg he calls me when he knows i'm paying attention but he isn't making a noise while he knows i'm deliberately not paying attention because i'm doing stuff this is something i'm really liking about this cat, he totally has the best manners for a wild cat, and i know he's wild because he's too young to have not been born of one of the local stray females and probably the cute black longhair fluffy of my neighbours, and i'm pretty sure at least 3 or 4 intact males are around here, this one is up and coming, i don't think he's quite reached that point yet #catstr #mochi #madeira #rain

an interesting thing about making the food warm is that he's not eating it so fast probably because it smell stronger, and it's probably way better for him because it won't be sucking the heat out of his belly as well i served one of the two for his daily ration already, and it was like, idk, maybe 30-35'C, the second one will be nearly hot, so i'm gonna sync that with my trek up the hill to pick up my daily supplies ah yes and i need to restart the fire outside, the thing went out... i gotta do something about sourcing a stack of firewood and some kindling, i really should be eating mainly from that damnit nothing is as good as flame/char grilled meat, frying is just rubbish in comparison also since it's winter i should be doing more hot stew soup type things
