I've always been proud of my ideas, thinking they were unique, essential and powerful. But I noticed others would take them and claim them for their own. So I stopped sharing my ideas. When I did this, they lost life. They whithered on the vine of my thoughts. Sometimes, someone would still take the idea, even when I never uttered it to anyone. That was when I realized our ideas do not come from within, they float in the spiritual ether, whispered by the unknown, and come to anyone receptive to them. I took on the profession of making others ideas reality. I am paid to refine new ideas and turn them into manufacturable products. Now I realize, ideas should only be shared with people who are self interested in keeping your secret and helping you make it a reality. Ideas need people's time to mature. Money is rarified directed human effort. An idea spread wide is like water. An idea kept secret with no money is like a diamond deep in the earth. Both are worth very little.
