To learn something new and make good use of it hardly could be denied as an improvement of the quality of life... However, true could be that the bitcoin standard would happen without bitcoin being actively and freely exchanged between citizens, and rather by the services of third parties; in such case quality of life wouldn't change that much, indeed 🤔
