sorry, that was WEST, which is portugal, spain, UK time zone
we literally are 6 minutes into the next hour by the longitude, even in winter our clocks are 1 hour 6 minutes different from the sun position, it's completely benanas, i'm glad i can fix this on my computer at least... my phone, that's a different story, i have to fiddle with it and i don't look at it anyway so whatever... i also now have a UTC clock showing on my desktop so when i am coordinating with my coworkers i can nag them to get a UTC clock display then we can easily compare times and get a suitable schedule overlap
the CTO at my company now is looking into ensuring that everyone has their time zone and work periods mapped out so it should be a lot better for meeting times next year... and seriously, there is no way to have a meeting with europe and america and asia all at times where someone isn't outside of daylight hours, it should be a thing, to only hire people for a role where they are within either EU/americas or EU/asia or americas/asia and never the twain should meet
