If you need to get Gmail notifications on your phone (work, maybe) but don't want to sign into Google services on your de-googled device, download ntfy.sh and ask chatgpt to write you a "Google App Script" that notifies you of new messages every 5 minutes via ntfy.sh. you're welcome.

agreed generally, but a self-hosted ntfy.sh popping a notification on a Graphene phone is pretty airtight. what's the privacy problem with that? the alternatives are: 1. log into google (fuck that). 2. refuse work at a company that hasn't yet gotten off of Google (one day, not today)
