#politics #democracy #directdemocracy #moreleaders Thank you for the great text. I can defnitly understand people who feel powerless against the state. And I would not want to downplay this mismatch between actual laws who are created and what the people need. My only criticism from my side is the cause. I am quiet certain, that it is the lack of democratic mechanisms. Not the existence of them. Meaning the solution is rather more participation than less. Representative Democracies have only the power to replace representatives. This is a quiet low form of democratic power. I created a small Visualisation of the state below: https://npub1kl8e7s48j6cfr6zrmn53n5l0fsxustszj3fwmu9ahn0tnm9e8euq80u2uq.blossom.band/a8014f67bbd6004f8dc0ec45f47aa9c6b15727cf6c6a95d87941376a01d07f55.png When we compare this with the mechanisms of a direct democracy, the mechanisms are almost the same. But there are a small amount very powerful mechanisms, which change the game for representatives completely. The two powers representatives have to create and modify laws and legitimize a budget are both controled by the voters. Every budget, that is too far from what people want, will get a low chance to be legitimated by the people. Same counts for new laws or when laws are modified. Here I have also the modified model for direct democracy: https://npub1kl8e7s48j6cfr6zrmn53n5l0fsxustszj3fwmu9ahn0tnm9e8euq80u2uq.blossom.band/78fbb7dc66d4dbd9a9a4da90d1b3055ed8ddc61b46ee74c7e8679e20e4fb61c1.png In addition in Switzerland we have 7 leaders, which govern together instead of having one president. This makes sure that a small majority of voters can not rule over the whole country against everything the minorities think and need. And most importantly, it allows for more than two parties indefinitely.

Thanks for this personal take from you. The world is too complex for such naive takes like the state is corrupt and every individual is great. - The state can act together with its citizen. - Individuals can act antisocial. But we have to create social contracts, which force the state to listen. To force the state to be the people and the people to take care of their surrounding. And through this be the state. I really think direct democracy will work everywhere. Maby there is better systems (I do not know). But for sure it is a better political system then representative democracy. Everyone is free to have his or her own oppinion on this. Compare yourself: Representative Democracy: nostr:nevent1qvzqqqqqqypzpd70nap2094sj85y8h8fr8f77nqdeqhq99zjahctm0x7h8ktj0ncqyfhwumn8ghj7mmxve3ksctfdch8qatz9uq3vamnwvaz7tm9v3jkutnwdaehgu3wd3skuep0qyt8wumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnddaehgu3wwp6kytcqyqqqqyk8ut3aqehnufqq4vsjmtys2gtg0peuampjaa25hvu37c8l2hhwujk Direct Democracy: nostr:nevent1qvzqqqqqqypzpd70nap2094sj85y8h8fr8f77nqdeqhq99zjahctm0x7h8ktj0ncqyt8wumn8ghj7etyv4hzumn0wd68ytnvv9hxgtcpzemhxue69uhhyetvv9ujumt0wd68ytnsw43z7qg3waehxw309ahx7um5wghxcctwvshsqgqqqqty406swce5yl2nshpl8289cwv9g3klrad3alpj9vdtqefv8sqzfq5x
