#[2] #[3] #[4] would be useful if users could cross sign keys and rotate them. Relays could identify the signatures and transfer ownership of profiles. The ability to revoke keys -think gpg/pgp- if compromised is needed. There's no tech support for lost "passwords" and identities stolen. This could be made almost transparent and seamless for normies.

Just added profile & follows backup tools. If you give it your old follow event, it will merge it with your current follow list. Profile is only restored if it's the latest event. Other events are republished.
Would be useful to automatically store the latest 5 follow events from separate days. Or just use key-value storage (nip33) for follows individually, instead of overwriting the whole list every time 😄
every time you follow / unfollow someone, that is

Is there a way to move your followers to a new account like on fedi?

No.
Currently not, but different ways of key revocation and attaching new keys to an identity are being discussed.

Yes, yes! Love it!
Afaik someone explained that here a few days ago that this is a limitation of Testflight.
I’m running Damus TestFlight on desktop and its working… might just be the way the api is called.
⚡️15,000 thank you Martti.
You can literally backup your follows list in a Json file and restore it. Finally!! Thank you so much!

awesome update. iris is probably my favourite client super smooth to work with 🫶🏻
I was thinking a bit about this a while back. Problem is it needs to be transparent for even grandma. People forget passwords, lose revocation certificates and private keys. Maybe a short pin that is occasionally asked from a user like Signal does? #[3]

NIP-26 could be useful here and NIP-06 for the root/seed key and phrase.
