php is a good language for this kind of thing... i forget how its syntax went but i remember it was charming to me after C and vbscript, i was pissed that my computer college course picked ASP/Vbscript to teach us web app dev and then right as it was getting exciting microsoft sunsets the whole thing in favour of the new asp.net i started learning php in my spare time at that point, i seem to recall it was very nice for splicing strings, and the syntax for adding it to a web page design... yeah, i learned CSS and stuff... ah thems was the days, circa 2003
