Via Decision Desk HQ: Population growth has started to decline, and it’s anticipated that #[0] will continue to lose U.S. #[1] seats in the near future. The state could lose as many as five congressional districts in the 2030 reapportionment cycle. The most recent redistricting commission in California had a decidedly liberal bent. However, the new map is far from a Democratic gerrymander, or at least one the Democratic-controlled legislature would have drawn.

California cities are losing folks, though so have places like Lassen County. Though this could really affect how we look in the House of Representatives, as we lose seats, I'll bet it also shifts some of our redder seats more purple, and tips some to the blue-violet.
