The same problem that killed the Instagram is already effecting #olas People won’t use it to post photos… people will use it to post test in jpegs and memes. Ruining the overall appeal of that square photo phone Instagram created. If you want it to remain hip. Remove media uploads.

nostr:npub1l2vyh47mk2p0qlsku7hg0vn29faehy9hy34ygaclpn66ukqp3afqutajft I was thinking, perhaps #Olas could automagically distinguish between the two account types: a dedicated picture identity (like I do with nostr:npub17ukuyktgmvwcgtnh600tpyleqt4pklvln0hvkwp3sx3c472fsztqswnhu2) vs. a combined account with lots of non-picture content. It could check if the account has any kind 20 notes and if not, always show kind 1 notes with pictures. Though the problem there is that you can accidentally break that by posting a single kind 20 note. So maybe there could be a bio tag that says "this is an instagram like account, just fetch my kind 1 notes" vs "this is an omnibus account, follow them all". Alternatively, maybe all regular clients should learn to render kind 20 notes. "Hiding" pictures by default just makes no sense to me. So anyway, I think I'm a kind 1 maxi.

I like how #olas allows me to filter posts. I want this everywhere. I do this in nostr:npub18m76awca3y37hkvuneavuw6pjj4525fw90necxmadrvjg0sdy6qsngq955 by going to Universe and then filtering the relays. But it would be nice to have it even easier. https://i.nostr.build/VyB8CBong3zNV33A.jpg

Is anyone else having trouble adding a wallet with #Olas? I paste my NWC connect string and hit save, but nothing happens. It doesn't save or add the wallet. 🤔 #asknostr
