the moneroes are the worst for thinking they know lightning when i seriously doubt they even understand that it uses client side onion routing of typically 5-10 hops, and assuming you get the invoice over tor it is better than monero because it's instant and no less private

LMFAO. The one #LN channel I had on my self-hosted node that I actually used for real-world transacting (with The Bitcoin Company) just remote force closed. Being a #Nodestrich is fun but I'm getting more bearish on personal LN noderunning for actual practical use every day. The fact that Tor is absolutely horrible doesn't help. For parents and family with orange pilling on boarding I had success with Edge wallet (formerly airbitz). Their 2FA security which is device specific is pretty nice. I am lately thinking that since its an opportunity cost for a company to spread their attention to multiple chains, it takes away from bitcoin. I would like to recommend a Bitcoin only wallet. Anyone used Blue and/ Green wallet? The go to lightning for me now is Phoenix. #wallet

Finding a good wallet when your new to nostr in the US can now be a very difficult task. Since Alby has become invite only and Wos left the US altogether, it's hard to find a good one to recommend to newbies. nostr:npub18ams6ewn5aj2n3wt2qawzglx9mr4nzksxhvrdc4gzrecw7n5tvjqctp424 was saying that mabye speed.app would be a good alternative to Wos for new plebs, I have tried this one too and it seems quite easy to setup and use. I have tried basically every wallet out there and I made a list of my favorites at pleb.lol/wallets if anyone is interested. Hopefully there will be a clear winner in the future for US plebs but we'll have to see I guess. #Plebchain #Wallet #Zap
