We run some servers on old hardware, and we also rent a remote server for like €5/month and use it for the whole team. You could just put a relay on a NAS or the living room PC, and anything with WiFi can connect to it. Don't even need the Internet.
I have Citrine relay on my phone, too.

i love tests, just sometimes stuff is so simple you don't need them imo, need for tests is a metric of the level of agglomeration of a piece of code you probably wouldn't need to test it if it wasn't a tangled ball of mud
