yeah, that's also gonna be why it's important that whoever publishes authorised versions uses an npub with a lightning address on their kind 0 profile metadata that actually pays them
i can see this being pretty big, because you can remix their stuff, and clients can analyse the document tree and split it to them at your option as well, so you can write a paper about some subject, and all the refs you put into it can become targets for payments as well
i mean, there's lots of possibilities, i personally am not against monetizing any kind of media but i think that it's futile to try and railroad users into being forced to pay, unless you can value add (such as subscription access) - any scheme that makes it hard for the user to remix and share it is USER HOSTILE INTERFACE and should be called as such
exclusive access may not last very long but it's something you can build a whole business model out of, even if it only takes a few minutes for stupid people who are - subscribing - to publish them, and anyway, probably it is possible to figure out who is doing it and cancel their subscriptions, as part of the constelation of associated businesses with media payment rails based on nostr
