Generally right. But what if the negative person in your life is yourself without you even realizing it? Because you only live in your conditioned mind and it plays tricks on you. Then, instead of cancelling out other people, you would first have to look into yourself. Otherwise you will cancel out external disturbances all your life long without ever being truly happy. How to find out? Vipassana, meditation, yoga ...

Man I’ve been wrestling with this for the last year or two with a direct family member, not extended. Fuckin brutal.
