Yes it is. Ive been enjoying russells reserve 10 year lately. Nothibg fancy, but its solid. 🍻

💯 🥃 However I found an amazing veteran owned, small batch operation in KY - MB Roland. Honorable mention: - Sagamore Spirit - Old Elk If you haven’t read Pappyland by Wright Thompson. Very interesting look inside what the whisky business now looks like.

🤣 I know Paul (MB Roland) really well. Not only were we classmates at West Point, my barracks room was 1 door down when we were cadets. Great guy. He would tell us about starting his distillery when he was a cadet. None of us believed he would do it. He did.

Bourbon all tastes the same to me..bad. My husband on the other hand is a collector & connoisseur. It’s his only vice. He said Blanton’s is great but Weller & the Colonel are better for the flavor profile he prefers.

Both are fantastic. Another great small distillery is Barrell, I recommend the Armida and the Seagrass. They do a second aging (finishing) in unique barrels. Armida is bourbon finished in a pear brandy cask.

I'm not sure you know what you've done, you just offered a military aviator some top shelf free booze, he will use this as an excuse to travel and will show up to wherever you are and collect. It is how we roll. 🛫🍻
Haha and my husband will love it. They are freakishly similar down to where they are from. After I told him that P was talking about bourbon and Blanton’s last night he said, “You’re trying to make me fall in love with Preston aren’t you?” 🤣
