Use NIP-99 for the item listings! Would be great to have more interop with that on the existing marketplaces.
Yes! A few of us marketplace devs have also been working together to create extended version of NIP-99 that's more encompossaing of the necessary marketplace event flows and isn't limited by NIP-15's not-so-great event structuring: https://github.com/GammaMarkets/market-spec/blob/main/spec.md
