Is obsidian open-source? Their license is certainly disappointingly restrictive. Do you know if anyone has worked on a similar plug-in for Joplin?

1. It is open source, but quite stifling for the devs I guess. 2. Not to my knowledge. We do need such plugins for various traditional apps as they will have normies discover Nostr imo.
It looks like it depends on the definition of open-source. It doesn’t use an open-source license, but the code is indeed publicly available (just not redistributable). https://forum.obsidian.md/t/is-it-true-that-obsidian-is-already-open-source/46413 Regardless, I may have to give it a shot for personal use - the nostr writer feature looks awesome! Thanks for sharing!
Also you should check out Joplin if you haven’t! I’m guessing it’s less polished than obsidian but they sound quite similar in terms of being markdown-native with plug-in capability, and your choice of cloud storage location

It’s not really fully source available
