Intersex is an abnormality. It is not a valid form of sex identity, but a biological error. This should not be treated as a slight against those who suffer from this condition. Their body failed them, it's not their fault any more than someone with down syndrome, dwarfism, or other abnormal (epi-)genetic conditions. However, sacrificing the idea that there is a standard template that human beings are fit to, merely because some encounter errors that cause a failure in that process, is a modern insanity. As a side note, the water supply contains chemicals known to interfere in proper sexual maturation. Given that, if there is an increase in intersex people, the link should be examined.
