I'm suggesting we skip the publication "type" Tag and use the "M" tag. Then changes to the M tag would alter the reading view configurating and style sheet.

i'm confused because i thought that was what the M (mimetype) code already does... you can specify from the abstract to the more concrete as a sequence of separated things like application/json sorta style, so then you would extend it to like text/asciidoc/paper or text/html/whitepaper? or am i misunderstanding? try not to make one thing do too many things, maybe you want to do a T for category stuff like this, keep M for formats
