#conspiracytheories #storytelling https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sydha1suOvY This seems a very intresting input from Brian Klaas on how our bias to good stories give us a bad bias towards conspiracy theories. Also how conspiracy theorist often are unsatisfied with the truth that some events have no back story. Therefore they are in need of someone telling a good story. Even when it is totally made up. Since some rare coincidence just does not seem a great story. But in reality many events are based on some chaotic event. We might get into a conversation, only because the bus is late. Or we come to know a new colleague only because we went to eat later. But there is no big plan behind it. Life is mostly filled with randomness. And the big influence of social media, that democraticed information sharing from big mediahouses to every user of the internet.
