I played DS2 day one (actually before that, I managed to get a copy 1 week before release), don't know how much changed because they release that garbage new edition
Getting a game one week before is the gamer peak lol. How it was ? Is Scholar of The First Sin bad ?
I despise the enemy place in SoFS, it is so bad, so many duplicate enemies together in the same area and completely ignore the original level design.

DS2 is the only one I still have to play it and I got SoFS but now I'll have to get the original. Maybe I should have got it before SoFS in the first place.
I think it's worth it, the difference between both versions reminds me a lot of OoT's Master Quest, which is also pretty bad, but you can always play later if you want

Generally I prefer to play the original version before the "upgraded" version and to tell the truth I thought SoFS was just a version with DLC included, but I was mistaken.

SotFS was their attempt at salvaging the mess that DS2 was at launch, but in turn, they made the game worse. Enemy placement is a big part of what makes a Soulsborne game a Soulsborne. That said, SotFS has better graphics and performance overall, as well as a new storyline. The DLC in both is roughly the same, it's just the main game that got changed.
Yes, actually, even the PC version is unchanged, you can still buy the original DS2 on Steam.

I see but the original verson on PS3 was patched without changing enemies and stuff placement right ?
