I consider most of the applications beta software. Very good beta overall, but beta regardless. Expectations are likely misaligned with reality on all sides. I no longer recommend any of this stuff to noobs. Not because I don't like Nostr, but because it just isn't ready for average people in my opinion. The protocol is maturing though. I suspect it will be a lot better in 5-10 years.
Actually, I should say alpha. Only a few I've tried meet my beta expectations.
