Excellent! We used to have a very large Burr Oak in the front of our property. A few local and state groups would collect some acorns from the tree every so often to plant them elsewhere. The acorns were huge, very unique and fun to look at. Sadly that tree died about ten years ago. I believe this was the only Burr Oak on or near us as I haven't found others. I think I'll do what your husband did and plant a new one, or fifty. Future generations need to enjoy the shade of a Burr Oak.

The Bridgeton Covered bridge is the longest covered bridge in Indiana. The original bridge was built in 1886 and was burned down by arsonists in 2006.
