You could start following hashtags you like. E.g. #introduction to see fellow new nostriches. Or any other topic. Of course you can use one of the "trending" sections to find interesting people too.

Hey #introduction newcomers! Here are some random nostr tips / info to help you get caught up: 1. Follow lots of people to populate your feed. We have no algos here so outside of "trending" it's up to you how much content you see. 2. You may feel withdrawal symptoms and a sudden surge of positivity if you quit other social media cold turkey. Highly recommend it! 3. You are probably using an app like Primal or Damus, but nostr is soooo much bigger than that. Check out nostrapps.com (selfish plug - I made this) to get an idea of other apps out there! 4. Don't get hung up on relay stuff. You probably already have some set up and you're probably good to go, but you can always browse some profiles to see what they have set and join that relay as well. 5. You're an early adopter and have the highest opportunity to grow fast and wild on here (if that's your thing) simply by engaging with people. 6. You are in control. Nostr may show you some weird stuff or weird people, that's why we have mute buttons. The point is that YOU decide what you see and no one else. 7. You are awesome and super welcome! I can probably add 40 more tips here but I'll just stop there. Oh, and you can ask questions with #asknostr ;)

Hi I am "Intuitive" (lol).. I come from italy but also Croatian half blood. I am a weird guy with many different interests from sports to tech, economy, art, nature and weird thing in general. I always found myself on the counter narrative, on the opposite side of the majority, probably cause I am an introvert and love to observe and analyse from distance. Discovered Bitcoin in late 2020, understood there is no second best in late 2021. Discovered Nostr in December '22, understood there is no second best after a week. So glad to be here with all of you.. Oh something you don't know.. when I finished high scholl I started for some time video editing and finished working for a local tv company for News.. there I understood MSM is completely fucked. When I browse the #introduction hashtag I generally see two kinds of posts: 1. People who just joined Mastodon writing a detailed description of their gender identity, the last five books they read,their career aspirations, and a fun fact about their childhood. 2. Someone who just installed a Nostr client saying, “What up bitchiz? I finally got kicked off Twitter! How does this shit even work?!”

Hashtags are used. Some clients (= apps) allow you to follow hashtags like #introduction , which is cool.

and add after they are done setting e.g. wos/zeus up, they should share this with nostr with an automated note they can publish, like so "Just done setting up my lightning adres! #zapme #plebchain #introduction" [Post note] and then we follow the tag #zapme and hopefully online nostriches test-zap the newbs? or maybe a bot can do it even?
