What is Bitcoin Pizza Day? On May 22, 2010, Laszlo Hanyecz successfully found someone to buy 2 pizzas and have them delivered to him, for which he paid 10,000 BTC. That man's name is Jeremy Sturdivant. Laszlo invented GPU mining for Bitcoin and mined over 100,000 BTC, allowing him to get a lot of pizza with his mining rewards. Laszlo did this several times in 2010. Jeremy is equally important to this conversation. Jeremy decided that 10,000 BTC were worth the cost of 2 pizzas.
