If it's this hard, then you're doing something wrong. Buy yourself an UmbrelHome device, run your nodes there. Use #BitBanana or #Zeus to connect to and manage the CLN node. Those two wallets will help you open and close channels, send and receive payments and sign stuff if need be. Have a cold wallet — Coldcard, Bitbox, Jade — to store the amount you're holding instead of spending. On and off ramps only through true p2p environment: for EU, there's Peach and Robo sats with decent liquidity EUR payment methods.I advise gags isn't using SEPA transfers if you're selling #BTC as the rules around chargebacks are against you, use payment methods like Wise if you're on the fiat receiving end. Everything is done through the phone app, no need to host anything on top. The effort is minimal, the sovereignty of the setup is excellent. #Lightning really shits the bed at higher (but not all that high) amounts. I used #Zeus to send 250k sats to another wallet. I upped the timeout to 4 minutes (after figuring out that it timed out after 60 seconds by default), which I figure is more than enough time to piss a merchant off and everyone standing in line behind me waiting for my fiat killer to work. I can't seem to use any of this shit seriously without having to constantly fuck around with settings, troubleshooting, and vague errors. Square adoption is great and all, but what happens when Lightning shits the bed? I can't pull out Lightning cash. My only other options in this shitty bed are fiat, on chain (even more waiting), or some custodial company. The only way I finally got the transaction to succeed was to split it into several smaller amounts. Sending and receiving capacities were enough on both ends. This is just using my own wallets at home. I can't imagine dealing with this at a merchant.

Accepting lightning for merchants requires a lightning node be online 24/7. The common solution for this is #btcpay server, but this is quite heavy (and therefore impossible) for many online merchants on shared hosting. But nostr:npub1xnf02f60r9v0e5kty33a404dm79zr7z2eepyrk5gsq3m7pwvsz2sazlpr5 "node in a phone" is lightweight enough to be run on Android. Can a BTCPay server be configured to use a "node in phone" style node? Is there some similarly lightweight option we can use which does what #BTCPay Server does but with the overhead of #zeus? #bitcoin #asknostr #lightningnetwork #asknostr

A minha carteira da #alby anda bastante instável. Muitas vezes não consigo mandar um #zap também. Pode ser um problema com as carteiras #Zeus ou #blue também.

the moneroes are the worst for thinking they know lightning when i seriously doubt they even understand that it uses client side onion routing of typically 5-10 hops, and assuming you get the invoice over tor it is better than monero because it's instant and no less private

I just found out you can use #Zeus and #Tailscale to connect super fast to your node. Before I was connecting via TOR but that was just a pain in the ass. Now it just became my favorite wallet.

i use a lot of #lightning wallets but my favorite setup is the following: #raspiblitz 5 image for raspberry #pi5 hardware with #CLN lightning node implementation and remote control via #zeus app on the #calyxOS phone i hope the hashtags helped you

Does anybody know, in Zeus Wallet instead of creating a new wallet, can I use a BIP-85 24words created by index and use it to “Restore Wallet” would it work? Or I should have use the newly created 24 words by Zeus? To be honest I couldn’t find where to restore wallet yet 🤦🏻 I prefer to use the words created by myself instead of having to a new seed words group to protect and keep. i'm good on peach, but thx. #zeus is good stuff. i'm just going use my #enuts mint on nostr until i get my coin back in 2 weeks from zeus since nostr:npub1ytx8ffefzymnsen8eu99g9rwnc4emfpdyjjk2hrlqkqs8sfr8feq5vek79 and i found a way to delete the app before closing my channel during troubleshooting. only lost 5k in pending zaps so no biggie, but oof 😅
