If not for Atari Jaguar and Pippin banana controller, joycons would be the worst designed vydia controller. I know they made it so a joycon pair could split into two minicontrollers but who ever uses that outside Christimas Party ?

Joycons are too small and their ergonomics is terrible, the idea is genius, but I never heard something using the controllers individually except for Pokémon Let's Go and Mario Party
And no I'm not counting any pre NES controller

It's a trash ergonomics, unless you're a kid there's no way of you playing with OG joycons without your hands suffering for it. You need a grip like the one from Skull&Co and maybe replace the left part for a Dpad version. Yeah and if don't play them that makes you wonder if it's even worth what they did.

I use these https://www.mobapad.com/products/mobapad-m6-hd-black , feels like a proper handheld with them, it comes even with a swappable dpad, it's great for 2D games
Woah looks cool af and you can even replace the Dpad for the cross type, plus color and stuff. 80$ for it is a peny, thanks I'll arrange to get one.
