i'd like to realise a dream to build an oberon-style dev/GUI based on Go and probably using an editor/shell like Acme nostr isn't likely to stop being the main thing i want to do my paid gig is about games and database/ML stuff, so i'm ok with that for now, one must fiat mine somehow

Mine is Oracle database stuff, but they're going to migrate to something more event-based, this year and revamp the web client, which should be fun.

yeah, i'm mostly hostile to AI but using it to aggregate data intelligently is definitely one thing it is good at, after reading a good AI generated meeting summary... for the most part you don't need to trust the biases of the models to get this right, but i bet they are gonna start getting stick about their stupid biases when people need it to filter data full of "bad" subjects (i mean, think of investigators and law enforcement needing to deal with all sorts of depraved media and data)
also, you are doing nothing to reduce the impression that you are the attractive librarian type with that as your "fun stuff" haha

We're using an LLM to write book summaries, as that's actually one of those boring, tedious things authors like to offload.
yeah, this is definitely an area that i'm cool with GPT/LLMs since it's mainly relieving this task from actual humans writing original stuff, writing opinions about other people's writing is a task that mainly assholes do, but writing unbiased summaries is something that it's hard to find people to do and it's laborious work we still need humans to do reading and curation and such but to be able to cut this task out of the list is pretty cool i think
