I use the beads and you can get a very accurate and consistent seal from them. It's easy to mix and combine colors and if you've got multiple spoons you can keep things from getting too out of hand by way of color mixes. A lot of people use the glue gun for the speed and ease of use. With the beads you have to melt each seal seperately, but with the glue gun you can do one after the other quickly because the gun is melting the wax, not a candle or lighter. You'll have to eyeball the glue gun a bit closer to get consistent seals where the beads allow for that consistent size. In a clean spoon it's about 4-5 beads depending on the size of your stamp and after that it's 3-4 because of the existing wax in the spoon. I've also used the wax sticks with the wick in them (essentially a candle) as well and unless you're going for speed and don't mind a messier seal, I wouldn't recommend going that route. I hope that helps clear things up a bit. #penstr #letters #fountainpens #artstr #waxseals
