#mochi the #catstr is in the vet for his reevaluation after the treatment and he's refusing to be cooperative so they have to job him with some kind of kitty valium so they can actually get near him, and needed two nurses to get control of him just to give the shot. On the bright side, it is good that he is alert and wide eyed, but he's not fully through the process of recovery. Hopefully the last steps are a bit easier... Have to wait a bit over an hour including him coming out of the sedation. Everyone at the vet was amused, oh well, that's how it is when you rescue a stray I guess. He will be better after all the medicine regime is over and I'm sure he will forgive the disruption of his discomfort with time.
I just got a call from the vet and he does need dental surgery, so I have asked that they organise to keep him until they can see to it. I want him fully fixed so he is through this hard time and can relax with me and catch up on his lost youth, he's been sick most of his short life, I wanted to do some good so this is what it will be. I'm sure everything will be ok, once he isn't in so much pain. Poor little guy.
He doesn't need the eye drops anymore, just the ear drops and the pill, which is antiinflammatory. I've just been talking to the taxi driver about where to get beef and I'm going to organise to buy a bulk order of Argentine grain fed, this is the easiest best I can get locally and I can stuff my freezer with it. I am pretty sure feeding him rare cooked beef helped him to this point and has helped me also. And he loved it also, the uraguay veal not so much. Anyhow, 2 weeks time I he will get the surgery and his earache should be cleared by then, and he will be a happy kitty. I took him in to help him and he will be all sorted.looking forward to the completion of the regime.
yeah his hyperplasia in the back of his mouth is so bad you can't even see he has back teeth, so they all need to be removed and some flesh cut out and stuff he's so funny now he's back here, he's still pretty sedated from the drug they gave him to calm him down, but he seems overall happy just gotta keep up the anti-inflammatory and ear drops for a while yet and in two weeks he goes in for surgery, they gave me two capsules of gabapentin, which i seem to recall is something they give to people who are experiencing psychosis, so, i guess they gave it to me so they don't have to deal with him being crazy when he arrives at that bad place again where he gets poked and prodded today's bill was tiny, also, and i know exactly how much the surgery cost will be so that's all nice to know
