Managed to go all winter without watering my cacti. Bringing some of the babies outside while it is warm out. #gardening #grownostr #cacti https://image.nostr.build/1126f1fbb83ee7fabe16949e33a9519207b660da741b40c5f0fdb7d02fa16b94.jpg
Thanks! I think I have a better idea how to grow them this year, so hopefully they grow a lot this season. Going to start using liquid fertilizer weekly or so

if those are san pedro then they are actually subtropical succulents and they can grow pretty fast and use a lot of water... peyote is a drier climate cactus but san pedro will grow a lot better with a lot of water you can see the proof of them not being watered by their etiolation (narrowing)... they grow thicker when they have a lot of water... really they are opportunists, not so much spendthrifts, they do grow quite fast... i think you can get 2-3 feet of growth out of one in a year if you treat it well, and make sure it gets lots of l ight and sun, which is enough for two or three journeys...
So these guys being so skinny is a water issue? https://image.nostr.build/a0383be65703b3a6a0aff2442737f69bd6e4b4df402fd7178cb1a0377063313f.jpg
yes, i have never gone deep into growing them but i knew many people who did and they said that san pedros love to be wet
