for me, #zaps are a signal that a person who sent them might be interesting, because i wrote something that charged them up enough to return something in a form that was a pure form of appreciation i love it when people interact, engagement is great, they teach me things, but when people feel motivated to spend a few cents to signal pure appreciation it indicates to me that they may have things that will feed into my learning process as well
