Of yes, of course. I remember meeting Scottie on a bus stop in 1993 on my way to my first job. It was the #3. He asked if I was a "Dexter" by the way I was dressed. Of course I had never heard this jive term, so I asked for clarification. He simply shook his head and continued on his rounds. nostr:nevent1qqs8f0mqduw6krs0mn9zg422sm9vu6v6777nps7u04cg9fzrkmskv6cpzamhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuurjd9kkzmpwdejhgtczyrz4337vdxaa50p8z7ptwd46h3j2e5k6yk93fu6km09fvm9sk7ufuqcyqqqqqqgpcky49

Well #3 sounds like a problem, if you don't initiate, you are leaving friendships up to chance. Find some group activities like sports, meetups, crafting clubs, whatever and meet people there. Volunteering is a great way to meet people.

Yeah, but I think people on here underestimate the drain of #3 for months or years. You have to really be a bit crazy. Even most of the people on Nostr, suggesting people do this, would never do it.

I really like #olas but I don’t understand why these text posts are showing on my feed. Should it be focused on pics? I would expect these post on Damus or Primal. https://i.nostr.build/JgDzSOkiVxLtaN0Q.jpg

On the art for the Magic the Gathering card “Treasured Find” a gorgon admires a gold skull with ruby eyes. How/where can I find someone who can make me one of these? Preferably hand-poured, 24 ct. I’m thinking 1.5 Troy oz. (No chain needed, just the skull) #asknostr https://cards.scryfall.io/art_crop/front/9/3/9317b616-eabe-461a-bd60-6dd8620becb4.jpg?1592754833

I'm having an issue with my Umbrel lighting node since I've upgraded from 0.5 to 1.3 and I'm hoping if I #asknostr someone might know to do. Looking at the logs this seem to be the primary error- error setting cert before unlock: unable to generate or renew TLS certificate: open /data/.lnd/tls.key: no such file or directory I'm running it on a macmini. Thanks in advance :) #umbrel

Yes #3 but I completely reject #4. By the Austrian logic, nothing is intrinsic, which was the basis for most of the previous post. Currency IS collateralized credit. That's what it is. Money is an asset that solves the coincidence of wants. It is a good not meant to be consumed. The 5 attributes of sound money are: Scarcity Verifiability Divisibility Portability Durability Currency is a technology that makes better the transactional functions of a money that has these attributes. The sole attribute of currency is that it is collateralized by the money. Bitcoin (like gold) is highly inefficient as a currency. I say Bitcoin is money not currency because it doesn't collateralize itself. All assets can be traded for goods or services, that does not make it a currency.

I'm just going to call 1913 the coup of the United States government from now on: 1. **Federal Income Tax** - Steal money more effectively, mask the effects of #3 2. **Direct Election of Senators** - Establish lifelong, loyal senators because it's easier to buy public opinion than it is votes from a legislature 3. **The Federal Reserve** - Steal money even more effectively than #1
