well he already had a dose of moxidectin, a close relative of that one, i also have an antiparasitic and systemic insect parasite tablet that i was planning to give him a month after the moxidectin/imidocloprid dose i was recommended by the vet it seems to me like the vet, one vet in like 5 little towns across the coastline here btw, is giving every dog and cat imidocloprid/moxidectin and as a consequence a lot of the local parasites are immune to it i remember when i first used an imidocloprid anti-flea/tick treatment, how dramatically and effectively it worked, but it quickly became obvious that the pests get used to the poison and you are back where you were before so i'm just going to switch up his treatment every month to a different internal/external antiparasitic treatment to try and cover all of the bases, maybe next month he'll be fully free of the ear and eye mites i feel like i need to take these things too, i know for sure i have a latent infestation of demodex follicularis mites, that i acquired while in a hostel in bratislava, just prior to coming down with a bad case of covid, and i know ivermectin is effective against covid infections which makes me think that the vulnerability is related to parasite colonies as well as the virus itself so yeh... i want some ivermectin for myself, also, and probably something for the external parasites as well, stuff that's in my todo list in the back of my mind but i need to attend to at some point the lack of concern about human borne parasites these days is kinda weird, when you consider how mandatory parasite control is with livestock i think that a lot of health problems actually stem from microbial, worm, mite and larger insect parasitic activity and metabolism/metabolites gotta get me some ivermectin as a starting point, i bet it's gonna do something interesting to my insides, it is also lethal to blood parasites too
